She had all the spunk and guts
To get all that she wanted
And what she wanted she did have.
She married unconventionally
Then built a giant of a house
With a separate house for her pool;
She drives her car just to cross the street,
And later on drove her husband nuts;
She had every thing at her whim,
Two beautiful kids balanced with a prestigious career.
She had every thing…
Except one that she has none.
Now that she’s fifty
She’s lonely as can be;
Her husband seems to be
A nightly visitor to their house,
Her kids all grown up
They too had moved out of the house,
Now she had everything at her whim…
All to herself.
She goes to all parties and dances ‘til dawn,
Joins every club she can,
Buys everything her money can.
Now that she’s fifty,
She had everything she had wanted
All the things she want…
Everything except the one she still has none.
